Personality: agave is very quiet, sometimes leading new dragons to think he's mute. when he talks, others close to him usually listen to him due to him being so quiet. agave is good at mimicking sounds and voices, and sometimes uses that to talk instead of actual speech. some dragons think he's weird, while others think him interesting. agave is quite intelligent, and is also a skilled flyer. some think he has a bit of skywing blood, but he doesn't.
History: agave's parents, kindle and bushfire, met at an oasis near the old night kingdom. while it wasn't love at first sight, they quickly became friends. and then they dated. and then they decided to settle down together as mates.
but their happiness was short-lived.
    bushfire became abusive around the time kindle produced an egg. bushfire had always drank a fair amount, but it has escalated drastically. he seemed to never be sober, to never love his mate. but kindle couldn't escape. deep in her heart, she still loved the sandwing with the near-perfect crest. and she couldn't escape. her body was maimed and broken, scars obvious and crest broken. just like her heart.
    but happiness wasn't completely gone. the egg soon hatched, and out came a little sandwing dragonet. he had pale scales like his mother, the dark green eyes of his father. kindle tried to hide the dragonet she named prairie dog. it didn't last long, as bushfire found prairie dog. he hissed and renamed the dragonet agave (which, as much as agave hated to say it, he preferred), punishing kindle for her secret. agave grew up with the abuse, gaining few marks compared to his mother.
    and one day while bushfire went to a bar, kindle flew. she flew to the skywing kingdom. she left her precious dragonet. as much as she loved him, she had to start over. his green eyes were too similar to the sandwing she had once loved so dearly. she cried. it was the hardest decision she had ever faced.
    because of the abuse, agave didn't speak. he just made sounds. his father would punish him for saying something "wrong". so he just didn't say anything. he grew up with the help of a wolf pack, feeling so large and awkward but accepted. it was all he really needed.
    the time came for agave to leave. he wasn't quite satisfied, something inside him yearned for more. so he said his goodbyes and left his foster family. he met up with kindle once, but not feeling a true connection with the dragon who had saved him. but she was still his mother. agave left, traveling pyrrhia.
